14. Les Corts District Headquarters

A neo-classical building constructed between 1882 and 1884, today the District’s headquarters, originally housed the Municipal Hall of the former town of Les Corts from 1884 on.

13. Roca Barcelona Gallery

Officially opened in 2009, the building has a fully glass façade and is now part of the Les Corts landscape. A corporate building open to local residents that plays host to exhibitions and presentations.

12. Torres Trade

The Trade buildings, whose designs were inspired in the modern architectural movement and Mies van der Rohe’s ideas, have left their mark forever. Special mention in the FAD Prizes of 1968.

11. Can Planes (the FC Barça Masia)

Built in 1702, the old masia or “farmhouse” was purchased by FC Barcelona in 1950. This 18th-century farmhouse, next to the Camp Nou, is an icon for Barça fans. It was where Barça’s promising young players resided between the 1980s and 2011.

10. Faculty of Law

One of the characteristic buildings along Av Diagonal is the Law Faculty, whose design found its inspiration in the rationalism and functionalism of the 1930s. International in style, it received the Decorative Arts Promotion Prize (FAD) in 1958.

9. Palau Reial

The Palau de Pedralbes, a symbol of the stately architecture of the past, is something of a surprise given its setting among the modern buildings and faculties located along Av Diagonal. The current building makes the most of the central part of the old Finca Güell.

8. Torre Girona

This neoclassical house, built between 1857 and 1863, brings together tradition and modernity: it is houses both the UPC rectorate and one of the most powerful computers in Europe.

7. El Bruc Barracks

Neo-Medieval in style, it was built between 1928 and 1934. The El Bruc barracks in the Pedralbes neighbourhood are still in use and belong to the Spanish Army.

6. Can Canet de la Riera (RCTB)

A farmhouse with medieval origins purchased in 1954 by the Reial Club de Tennis Barcelona, which renovated the property and adapted it to its new social use and turned its former crop fields into tennis courts.

5. Parc de Cervantes

A green space with a rose garden bearing the same name. Rose lovers will find their ideal garden in Parc de Cervantes, with its collection of over 10,000 rose bushes filling the place with heady colours and fragrances.
